What We
Believe

These twelve articles define the doctrinal foundation on which Reconciliation Christian Centre stands.

As a New Evangelical Church, we stand on the historic foundations of the evangelical movement. The beliefs listed below are not mere intellectual assents — they are convictions that shape our worship, inform our preaching, and guide our daily lives.

01

The Scriptures

We believe the entire Bible — both Old and New Testaments — is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme rule of faith and practice for the Church.

02

The Godhead

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in power and glory, co-eternal and co-existent.

03

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

04

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

05

Salvation

We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and that salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This experience is also known as the new birth and is an instantaneous and complete operation of the Holy Spirit.

06

Sanctification

We believe in sanctification as an ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, setting them apart for God's purposes and enabling them to live in increasing holiness.

07

The Church

We believe in the universal Church as the body of Christ, composed of all true believers, and in the local church as an assembly of baptised believers, organized for worship, fellowship, teaching, and evangelism.

08

Water Baptism

We believe in water baptism by immersion, in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ. Baptism is an outward declaration of an inward work already done.

09

The Lord's Supper

We believe in the observance of the Lord's Supper (Holy Communion) as a memorial of the suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is not a means of salvation but a declaration of faith in the finished work of Christ.

10

Divine Healing

We believe that divine healing is provided for in the atonement and is available to all believers. We believe in praying for the sick and in the ministry of healing as practised in the early Church.

11

The Second Coming

We believe in the personal, imminent, pre-millennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ. This blessed hope has a purifying influence on the life of the believer and is the motivation for urgent world evangelism.

12

Final Judgement

We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost — the saved unto the resurrection of life and the lost unto the resurrection of judgement. We believe in the eternal blessedness of the redeemed and in the eternal separation of the unrepentant from God.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”
